We've Launched Malacca Tours — Book the Guided Evening Direct

Malacca Tours is live. It is a dedicated home for the guided Malacca tours we have been running for years under Exotic Asia Holidays Travel & Tours, and the short reason it exists is that Malacca deserved its own site rather than a subsection of a national tour listing.

If you have booked with us before, nothing about the tours has changed. Same vehicles, same licensed guides, same operations team on the same hotline. What has changed is that the Malacca evening now has a page that explains it properly, and that every guided Malacca tour we run sits in one place rather than buried in a national listing.

What is on the new site

Three tours, each on its own page, with private and shared options set out side by side where both exist.

The Malacca night tour is the flagship: the illuminated river cruise, a decorated trishaw ride through the old town, dinner, and the drive back to Kuala Lumpur handled. The historical day tour covers the UNESCO core with a Peranakan lunch. The combo tours pair Malacca with Putrajaya or with a Kuala Lumpur evening for travellers with a single free day.

Alongside those sit six guides that do not sell anything. Cruise ticket prices in full, both fare tiers. What a trishaw ride is actually like and how walk-up fares work. Jonker Street timing. The heritage quarter explained. And two decision pages: day tour or night tour, and tour or do it yourself.

Why publish the DIY route on a tour site?

Because a customer who books after seeing that the old town is free and the cruise costs RM 35 to RM 50 is a customer who knows exactly what they are paying us for. Nobody feels caught out later.

Booking direct, and why it is worth doing

You will find our tours on the big OTA platforms. You are welcome to book there. But booking on this site puts you in touch with the company that owns the vehicle and employs the guide, which matters on the day something needs changing.

Every booking goes through our own checkout with an instant e-voucher, and your driver messages you on WhatsApp the day before to confirm pickup. If your hotel sits outside the standard pickup radius, or you have a question that needs answering before you pay, our hotline runs from 9 AM to 11 PM daily.

Malacca Tours is a brand of Exotic Asia Holidays Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, company registration 898289M, MATTA member MA3643, holding Tourism Ministry Licence KPL/LN/6245. We have been trading since 2010, and across the parent operator we hold 4.9 from more than 3,498 Google reviews.

One clarification we will keep repeating, because it matters: we are not the official Malacca River Cruise operator. The cruise is run by its own operator, which handles its own ticketing. We are a licensed tour company whose guided tours include the cruise, and we pre-book those slots because the evening ones sell out.
